Breakfast & Lunch Bags
Guests who must leave early are still treated to a great breakfast. Brown bag brekkies can be made for anyone leaving from 6:30 to 7:30 in the morning. Favourites are a homemade biscuit sandwich with an egg & house-seasoned sausage patty, topped with cheese, or a grilled croissant filled with ham, sliced applies & brie. Juice, coffee, a piece of fruit & a muffin, scone or breakfast bread go in the bag with a napkin and wetnap & you've got a great "a-la-car" breakfast to get you through to lunch.
Lunch bags can be ordered when reserving, or with at least 1 day's notice prior to wanting. Substantial sandwiches of meat, egg, tuna or salmon salad, with greens, cheese and other condiments are made. The House Sammie - a crusty bun with butter, a light brush of aioli mayo, chopped lettuce, english cukes, tomatoes, bacon, havarti slices & sprouts has gone over very well indeed. Beverages (pop, juice, water), fruit and a sweet & you've got a great midday break. If you don't have a cooler, we can lend you a cooler bag (if you're returning). Lunches are $15 a person.

If you are celebrating a special occasion - birthday, anniversary, or whatever and would like a little something extra...... let us know.
One such request for cake & champagne was realized with a blanket on the beach, beside a small shore fire, iced sparkling wine in a cooler & a small anniversary cake, waiting for the very surprised spouse. Just let us know your ideas and we'll try our best to produce what you'd like. Please ask for options and prices and I'll try my best to "sparkle up" the memory for you.

We can supply glasses, cutlery & plates if you want to order out and tables on our patios are great alfresco dining area. Guests are welcome to bring back suppers & I'll set you up.

Talbot Trail Golf Club, a challenging 9 hole club with a very attractive clubhouse, is just 5 minutes from the cottage. Erie Shores Golf Club, in Leamington, is a very playable 18 holer. Kingsville Golf & Country Club is definitely the aristocrat of the area, with a gorgeous club house and fantastic restaurant. Deer Run Golf Course, about 25 minutes north of here, just off Hwy 3 before Blenheim, has an 18 holes and an executive par 3 set amid Carolinian woods, as well as a lovely clubhouse and great kitchen. Orchard View in Leamington and Tilbury CG are also very close. With enough time, we should be able to make reservations for you at any of these courses.
We have information on many of the area's restaurants in the sunroom and will gladly share what we know of our local faves. Leamington has some great choices and Kingsville just seems to attract a restauranteur frame of mind.
I have found that a very good thing to tell our non-Southern-Ontario guests is to keep in mind that Wheatley is a small village, our whole area is quite rural and eateries generally close up earlier than in more urban centres. If you'll be getting here later, you may either want to eat before you get here, or try to get here before 6ish, settle in and then go out to dinner.
